As a BA Data Analyst at Hireloop, you will connect business, operations, finance, treasury, risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders to understand challenges, define requirements, and shape practical technology solutions. You will create and validate business analysis deliverables including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, gap analyses, use cases, data mapping documents, and impact assessments. You will also facilitate workshops and requirement walkthroughs, analyse application data flows, and define functional solution and integration requirements. Success in this role means turning complex financial and operational processes into clear, scalable solutions; challenging assumptions through data-driven analysis; and helping delivery teams simplify processes, reduce manual touchpoints, and improve operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated experience gathering, analysing, documenting, and validating business requirements, including producing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, data mapping documents, and impact assessments. - Experience performing current-state and future-state process analysis, gap analysis, and identifying opportunities for automation and manual touchpoint reduction. - Practical knowledge of financial markets or banking operations covering trade routing and enrichment, trade confirmations and validations, settlement management, reconciliations, cash or funding management, or related processes. - Ability to translate business requirements into functional solution designs, system behaviour descriptions, interface requirements, and integration specifications. - Experience analysing data flows between applications and reviewing technical designs to ensure alignment with business requirements. - Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, design sessions, requirement walkthroughs, and solution discussions with both technical and non-technical participants. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the delivery lifecycle. - Strong logical and analytical thinking, with the ability to simplify complex business problems, challenge assumptions using data, and maintain a high level of ownership and attention to detail. - Experience with SWIFT settlement messaging or payments, including MT210 and MT202, payment controls, and approval workflows. - Knowledge of trade and settlement accounting, general ledger integrations, regulatory or financial reporting, cash and position reconciliations, or break investigation and root cause analysis. - Experience with Agile or Scrum delivery, Jira, Confluence, SDLC practices, backlog prioritisation, acceptance criteria, and dependency or risk tracking. - Experience with Calypso Back Office or Settlement modules. - SQL, database querying, or data analysis and reporting experience.
