Join our team at Hireloop as a Data Engineer. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions using modern data engineering technologies, helping turn complex data into reliable, usable datasets for the business. You will work hands-on with Big Data technologies including Hadoop and Spark, develop data transformations with dbt, and write Python and PL/SQL for data processing and database development. You will also help optimize data solutions and support dependable data workflows. Success in this role means delivering maintainable, efficient data solutions and communicating clearly with stakeholders, including independently discussing requirements, tradeoffs, and progress.
- At least 4 years of professional experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions - Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies, including Hadoop and Spark - Proficiency with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation - Strong Python programming skills for data engineering and automation - Expertise in PL/SQL for database development and optimization - Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and hold conversations independently
- Experience developing Power BI visualizations and reports - Knowledge of Shell scripting for automation
