Join our team. We are building something great. As our Data Warehouse Engineer, you will own the analytical estate that supports historical balance and journal analytics, regulatory reporting, reconciliation, and multi-period trend analysis. You will design and operate a purpose-built warehouse so analytical workloads remain separate from the nightly close. You will build dimensional models for journal lines, balances, financial periods, and slowly changing business dimensions. You will also own the AWS Redshift physical design, production data pipelines, archival path, and published semantic layer. Success means the warehouse is accurate, replayable, cost-conscious, and performant. You will establish incremental and idempotent loading, handle restatements and late-arriving data, automate reconciliation to the sub-ledger, and tune MPP workloads for reliable analytical access.
- 5–10 years of experience in data engineering or analytical database engineering - Hands-on ownership of AWS Redshift or a comparable MPP database such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Synapse, including distribution, sort, encoding, and compression decisions - Experience designing dimensional data models for financial analytics, including journal-line facts, balance aggregates, conformed dimensions, slowly changing dimensions, and MTD/QTD/YTD/LTD measures - Expert analytical SQL skills, including rewriting queries for parallel execution and optimizing MPP workloads - Production experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using object storage, columnar formats, and bulk load or unload operations - Experience implementing incremental, idempotent, replayable loads that handle restatements, late-arriving data, and failure recovery - Python experience for data pipeline or orchestration code, plus PostgreSQL source-system experience including partitioned extraction - Experience with reconciliation controls, analytical cost guardrails and attribution, and documentation for shared data assets
- Experience with AWS Glue, DMS, Step Functions, Airflow, or dbt - Experience tuning workload management, concurrency, and caching in an analytical database - Experience designing archival strategies and published semantic layers - Experience building automated controls that prove warehouse data agrees with a sub-ledger
